Lithuania Celebrates Restoration of the State Day

Restoration of the State Day in Lithuania is celebrated on February 16th. It is a national holiday in Lithuania and it marks the act of Lithuania’s independence in 1918.

Vilnius power plant is a significant part of capitals’ history. It has illuminated and heated Vilnius for almost a hundred years. During that time, like the state itself, it went through wars, recessions, ups and downs. We remember and are proud of our history.

The day before the public holiday, the museum will work an hour shorter – until 5:30 PM. On February 16th the museum will be closed. We will be open from February 17th as always from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.
